I've written an article for the Feldenkrais Journal "Zeit" (to be published in German) about the effects playing trombone can have on posture, over the long term. And just yesterday, I received this link for the Ergobrass system that uses a strap and brace to support the instrument. I've always been skeptical of this system because I want to be free to move around.
However, after re-reading my article and looking at the photos of myself holding the instrument, I must admit that I need to look into this system. When I get up Thursday morning, after a long day of teaching and rehearsing on Wednesday, my back tells me that I need some help in holding the horn.
I can't say any more about the product but I think I'll order one and try it out.
Here are the links and original e-mail from ERGObrass
